This industry group’s mission is to increase the interaction with and develop relationships between GMSDC members and public sector agencies for the purpose of procuring business opportunities. Our objectives are:
Educational
- Increase awareness of GMSDC MBEs about the government certifications and purchasing/contractual processes and requirements
- Provide opportunities for interaction with governmental contracting entities
Advocacy
- Increase and expand local MBE involvement in the political processes
- Implement voter registration and get-out-to efforts
- Facilitate effective MBE to elected officials relationships to educate and inform them about key business issues
- Provide awareness of MBE’s needs to local elected officials
